Why Virtual?

All minds on the ESOP Association Canada's ESOP Conference Committee have been working together to prepare a strong and valuable conference in 2021. While it was unfortunate that we had to postpone the 2020 conference, we are excited to offer a virtual event in March 2021. 

We appreciate your patience as we look to adapt our annual conference to the new situation and believe you will find it of excellent value in which to participate.


This conference is for anyone interested or involved in equity sharing as an effective tool for business growth and exit planning. We’re anticipating an influential cross-sector participant group including business owners and CEOs of small and medium sized privately-held companies, employee-owners, executive leaders from large and medium public companies, co-op directors, and professional advisors.

If you’re interested in learning about strategies to boost your employee ownership culture or if you’d like to learn how equity sharing can help you grow or exit your business, this is the conference to attend. The ESOP Association Canada’s 2021 Canadian Employee Ownership Conference will feature insights from some of Canada’s leading employee owned companies, as well as advisors and experts who can answer all your employee ownership questions.


Practical strategies for successful programs, why implementing the technical plan itself doesn’t mean it will be successful, creating an ownership culture, tax issues and strategies to mitigate risk, benefits of Trusts for your ESOP, Stories of ESOP successes and failures from real companies and their employee owners, how an ESOP agreement can change as your company changes,
